Bruno Bader takes over the Klingel brand

K – Mail Order GmbH & Co. KG, the main company of the Klingel Group, has now found a buyer for the Klingel brand.

The new owner is Bruno Bader GmbH + Co. KG, the Klingel Group announced on Wednesday. The Pforzheim-based company previously took over the womenswear brand Mona from the Klingel portfolio. As with the previous takeover, the sale of Klingel includes both the brand name and the associated customer addresses and domains.

The range of the Klingel brand, which will be transferred to the company founded by Bruno Bader in 1929 on February 1st, includes outerwear, underwear, shoes, jewelry as well as living and technical items and is an ideal acquisition for Bader, according to the statement . In multi-channel distance selling, Bader sells products in the areas of fashion, shoes, laundry, jewelry, health, home textiles, furniture and household.

“With the acquisition of the Klingel brand, we are continuing our expansion course,” says Colin Bader. “The brand is an ideal fit for our target group, which relies on excellent service and high quality. Bader looks back on more than 90 years of company history and will continue its successful course in the coming years.”

Since May 2023, K – Mail Order GmbH & Co. KG, the main company of the Klingel Group based in Pforzheim, has been in self-administration insolvency proceedings. After failing to find investors for the entire company, the cessation of business operations was announced at the end of August. At this point, it was announced that there were interested parties who would like to continue running some of the Klingel Group’s individual brands independently from the beginning of 2024. With the sale of Klingel, the Klingel Group’s fifth brand has changed hands.

“At the end of the year, my big thanks go to the over 600 employees who continue to work for the company and do excellent work even in this challenging phase,” said Klingel managing director Marcus Katholing. “Through their commitment and professionalism, they make a significant contribution to ensuring that we carry out the self-administration process in the best possible way in the interests of the creditors.”
