Brunello Cucinelli increases half-year sales by almost a third

The Italian fashion house Brunello Cucinelli SpA increased its sales significantly in the first six months of the 2022 financial year. Because the pace of growth increased further in the second quarter, the knitwear specialist was pleased with “excellent results” on Tuesday. For the year as a whole, management now expects sales to increase by around 15 percent.

In the first half of the year, sales amounted to EUR 415.2 million and thus exceeded the previous year’s level by 32.3 percent. Adjusted for exchange rate changes, revenues increased by 28.3 percent. The clothing supplier owed the clear increase to a strong second quarter, in which sales increased by 46.4 percent to a record value of 218.3 million euros. In the first quarter, the growth rate was only 19.6 percent.

In the first half of the year, Brunello Cucinelli posted double-digit growth in all market regions. In Italy, sales increased by 19.7 percent to 49.1 million euros, in the rest of Europe by 20.7 percent to 115.7 million euros. Sales in Asia grew by 27.2 percent to 97.8 million euros, in America they even improved by 52.7 percent to 152.6 million euros.
