Homegrown moves to Belgium

This should be loud “Voetbal International“Amount to 6 million euros, making the home-grown team the fifth most expensive departure in the club’s history. Among other things, Filip Kostic also cost as much when he switched to VfB Stuttgart in 2014/15.
Meijer, who has been on the radar “at different clubs” according to the club’s statement, explained: “That’s what I really wanted. For me it feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity that I could not have imagined six months ago. I’m very grateful to the clubs for arranging my upcoming transfer in this way. This gives me the opportunity to concentrate fully on the rest of the season. Together with the team, I will do everything to end my years at FC Groningen in a good and beautiful way.” While Meijer only played sporadically in the first few months of the current Eredivisie season, he has not missed a game since December 21st .
