Bruges sisters have Flemish masterpiece moved to Leuven

The sisters of the Sint-Trudo Abbey Community moved from the abbey a few years ago to a small monastery building on the site of the AZ Sint-Jan. Some works of art also moved with them, such as this cross, recognized as a Flemish masterpiece in 2011. But that place is no longer fireproof, so the sisters had to look for another place.

The cross did not fit in the sisters’ house and that is why they had to look for a new place. The cross moves to a museum for religious art in Leuven.
