Bruges raises tourist tax, sector dissatisfied

The Bruges hotels would have liked to have been involved in the city’s decision. The 92 cent difference per night may now have to be paid by the hotels themselves. Because many hotels work with tour operators and fixed annual contracts in which a fixed price has been agreed.

And then because of rumors in the corridors. We were not involved in the calculations and we were not informed in time.”
