Bruges protocol chief on retirement: “A worker or king? Everyone equal before the law”

Everyone is equal before the law, that is one of Marc’s most important principles. And also: be invisible as much as possible.

The duties of a protocol chief are varied: “We actually organize everything from the reception of a retired worker, over a top athlete, to a king or queen. We also organize local ceremonies,” says Marc.

Hearing, seeing and being silent, that is also important. Marc will remember a picnic in the Astrid Park with Queen Fabiola and her nieces from Spain. (read more below the photo)
