Bruce Willis with his family at Disneyland

Bruce Willis, whose dementia diagnosis was made public in February 2023, traveled to Disneyland with his family. His wife, Emma Hemming-Willis, shared a video on Instagram on Friday (June 2) of Willis, his wife and their daughter Mabel riding a water roller coaster. The 68-year-old holds his arm protectively in front of his daughter, who is excited about the roller coaster. Evelyn, the couple’s second daughter, was also part of the trip, as were Rumer, Scout LaRue and Tallulah Belle, Willis’ daughters from his marriage to Demi Moore. The entire family wore Mickey Mouse T-shirts.

The actor retired in March 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia. The final diagnosis followed in February 2023: Bruce Willis suffers from frontotemporal dementia. According to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, FTD is a group of disorders associated with atrophy of the frontal and/or temporal lobes of the brain. In a joint statement, Willis’s family described FTD as a “cruel disease”.
