Emma Heming-Willis comments on her husband’s illness in a video.
Since it was revealed that Bruce Willis suffers from frontotemporal dementia (FTD), his family and especially his wife have been increasingly concerned about him and his health concerns. Emma Heming-Willis has now published two videos on Instagram in which she makes it clear that her husband is not as bad as is generally claimed.
“All I can say is that this is far from the truth,” she says of the headlines that her husband can no longer feel joy. “Stop scaring people who receive a diagnosis of neurocognitive disease and making them feel like life is over. No, it’s the complete opposite of that,” Heming-Willis continues. She writes under her video: “I have had the experience that two things can be true and exist at the same time. Heartache and deep love. Sadness and deep connection. Trauma and resilience.” She also asks her followers to rethink the negative portrayal of dementia.
