Brouns about nature restoration law: “They have moved a bit in our direction, but not enough”

Flemish Minister of Agriculture Jo Brouns acknowledges that the nature restoration law that was given the green light yesterday by the European Environmental Council takes more account of a number of Flanders’ concerns, but the CD&V minister’s concerns have not completely gone away. “People have moved a bit in our direction, but not enough”, said Brouns in the VRT radio program ‘De Ochtend’. “It is important that we have complete self-determination over our space and that we can decide for ourselves where we build schools and hospitals.”
