Tim Hofman’s brothers, Sam and Rijk, walk in with their Sarah van Soelen shirt. The T-shirt for 34.95 euros is sold out in all sizes after a week, even in the large size XXL.
Sam Hofman caused a showbiz riot in November by revealing that as a child he had a relationship with Sarah van Soelen, the well-known ex-girlfriend of André Hazes Jr. He shared the break-up email he received from her in 2007. Sam and Rijk have now made a shirt from the text from that email and the cartoon she sent with it.

Tim Hofman’s brothers have a Online store launched their own merchandise and that’s where they sell the Sarah shirt. “It’s not the kind of merchandise shirt that after three washes you think: hey, it’s eight sizes smaller now. It’s really a fashion thing,” explains Sam in their podcast.
Rijk: “Yes, it really is a shirt that you can wear. There are still a lot of hidden jokes in the shirt, even in the sleeve and in the care label. The whole shirt is one big joke. You have to find that out for yourself.”

After less than a week, the Sarah shirt is sold out in all sizes. “Well, people, thank you”, let the brothers know.
Sam: “I find it very special to see that people are so enthusiastic. Isn’t that fat?”
Rijk: “I can’t quite realize that we’ve lost it now.”
Quarrel with Patty
The Hofman brothers got into an argument with Patty Brard in November. She was annoyed by their revelation about Sarah van Soelen. “I think it goes a long way that we call this a celebrity”, she said about Sam. “Then if some people start a podcast and use it as clickbait to promote their own podcast a bit… I don’t think that’s a choice.”
