An autopsy will be performed in the United States on the journalist who died in Qatar.
The American journalist who died in the World Cup in Qatar Grant Wahl’s brother, Eric Wahl gave additional information about the tragedy on Monday.
Attempts were made to revive Wahli at the stadium for 20 minutes before he was taken to the hospital. According to the first information, the journalist suffered a heart attack, but there was no defibrillator, i.e. heart attack, in the stadium.
However, according to the international football association Fifa, there was a defibrillator in the stadium. According to the latest information, it would not have saved Wahl.
– It seems possible that Grant suffered a pulmonary embolism and was in a state where an electric shock could not have been administered, brother Eric Wahl wrote on his Twitter account Finnish time late on Monday evening.
– We were told that the New York police are in Doha and are trying to get more information, the brother updated on Twitter on Monday evening.
Grant Wahl’s body and possessions were flown to New York on Monday. The brother was shocked by the behavior of fellow human beings.
– Baggage handlers or other people on the tarmac took videos while we were there. They didn’t have much to describe. People can be so weird.
The reporter’s wife, mother and sisters had to identify the body. A thorough autopsy will be performed on Wahl in the United States, after which the family will announce the results.
– I couldn’t do it (identifying the body) because of my own sanity, the broken brother wrote.
Rumor has wings

Earlier on Monday, Veli broke the wings of rumors related to the tragedy.
The 48-year-old sports journalist collapsed in the closing moments of the Netherlands-Argentina quarter-final. Brother Eric Wahl soon posted a video on social media claiming Grant was killed.
On Monday, Veli admitted on Twitter that it was an emotional reaction rather than facts.
– I posted an emotional video while I was still in shock. I didn’t know it would spread everywhere. When I came to delete the video, it had already gone viral, brother wrote.
– After hearing about Grant’s death, I immediately thought that he had been killed. It was based on things G said to me the last two times we spoke. Naturally, I can’t know anything for sure.
The brother also claimed that the reporter would have been taken to the hospital by taxi service Uber instead of an ambulance.
– I can tell you that Grant was taken to the hospital by ambulance. His colleagues followed with an Uber, bro corrected.
The video published by the brother raised conspiracy theories that the journalist’s death was not natural.
Before his death, Wahl was diagnosed with bronchitis, for which he also received medication. The journalist was basically healthy, but wrote on social media that he felt his body was shutting down.
– He was a workaholic and has used the same saying before. It’s just that he needs to take a break and get some rest. That’s why I wasn’t immediately worried, the brother explains.
Bosh
Wahl’s death has also been claimed to be related to the corona vaccine. The brother labeled the rumors as offensive bullshit.
For the experienced Wahl, the Qatar games were the eighth men’s soccer world championships. Wahl has not only reported on the spot in the form of articles, but also recorded podcast material.
