Gymnast Vera van Pol has won a bronze medal on the bridge at the World Cup competition in Baku.
De Weertse had to recognize her superior in the capital of Azerbaijan in compatriot Naomi Visser and the French winner Lorette Charpy.

Charpy recorded a score of 13,866 and clearly left the Dutch ladies behind. Visser scored 13.100, Van Pol recorded a score of 12.966.
Van Pol thus kept the German Sarah Voss very narrowly behind: Voss was just short with a score of 12.933.
