On Monday, three bulls broke out of a stable at the Ehringveld. Two animals were quickly caught, but the third ran off. The police distributed a warning via Burgernet, because the bull is said to be dangerous. A major search followed, in which the police, among other things, used a drone to find the bull. The search was stopped during the day. “Now that we don’t know where the animal is, it makes no sense to fly a drone haphazardly,” said a police spokesperson.
Police urged people to call 911 if they saw the animal. That turned out not to be necessary: Tuesday morning the bull himself walked into his stable in Westendorp.
