Substituted against Union
VfB Stuttgart is expected to be without defender Anthony Rouault for four to six weeks. The Swabian Bundesliga team announced this one day after the 2-0 (1-0) win against 1. FC Union Berlin. Rouault suffered a fractured lower jaw in the game and had to undergo surgery. The Frenchman was substituted at half-time.
Because he broke his nose several weeks ago, the 22-year-old played with a face mask. Rouault moved to Stuttgart on loan from his training club FC Toulouse last summer and will be signed permanently after this season, as VfB announced on Tuesday. According to consistent reports, the transfer fee is 3 million euros, the market value of the defender is estimated at 7 million euros.
