Directions and important information: Construction site!
According to the organizers, the A37 will be closed for a short time on Friday (September 1st). It is therefore advised “URGENT to travel by public transport”. Good to know: The ticket for the concert is valid “Hanover Concerts” from three hours before the event is admitted until 5 a.m. the following day as a ticket for all public transport (2nd car class) in the entire GVH tariff area (zones ABC).
There are a total of four entrances to the Expo Plaza (North, East, South-East and South-West), which are signposted accordingly. Wheelchair users should use the north entrance, as this is the quickest way to reach the wheelchair platform to the right of the stage without barriers. Basically, according to the organizers, it is important to plan enough time for an early arrival.
public transport
Attention is drawn to the fact that a construction site erected up to and including 2024 on the Messeschnellweg between
AS Mittelfeld and Seelhorster Kreuz leads to massive traffic delays when traffic is high. In addition, there will be a full closure on the A37. Visitors are therefore URGENTLY asked to use public transport. The journey can be planned with Deutsche Bahn and with the GVH. P+R parking spaces are also available in the region for onward travel by public transport.
Construction work:
The construction work will take place in advance of the full closure of the A37 in the direction of Celle on Friday, September 1st. (8 p.m.), until Monday morning, 4.9. (5 a.m.), between Weidetorkreisel and AK Hannover-Kirchhorst. Directly after this, the lane in the direction of Celle will be placed on the oncoming lane until probably January 19, 2024. During this time, one lane will be available in the direction of Celle and two lanes in the direction of Hanover. The B6 (Messeschnellweg) will be closed from the Weidetor roundabout. If possible, departing concertgoers should take the B65 at the Seelhorst junction to the Anderten/A7 junction.
Our RS talk before the Broilers’ performance in Wuhlheide in August 2022:
support
Sondaschule, a ska-punk band from Oberhausen and Mülheim an der Ruhr, founded in 1999, will act as a support act.
More about the broilers
This started in May 2022 on the occasion of their album “Puro Amor”. It’s not the first time that Sammy Amara, Ronald Hübner, Andreas Brügge, Ines Maybaum and Christian Kubczak have filled halls: more than 250,000 people bought a ticket for the concert tour through German-speaking countries. In Essen over 25,000 came to the stadium, in Berlin over 30,000 fans saw the band perform at the Waldbühne. In addition, the Broilers were able to perform at festivals such as Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Wacken, Deichbrand, Nova-Rock and Highfield.
After a short break, the band will still be playing in their hometown of Düsseldorf on December 22nd and 23rd this year. Under the motto “Santa’s Action Club” they give two Christmas concerts in the Mitsubishi Electric Hall. The 15,000 tickets for these two evenings were also sold out in record time.
