ATHLETICS – Britt Weerman has won the Dutch indoor title for seniors in the high jump section in Apeldoorn. The only 18-year-old athlete from Assen was the only one to jump over a height of 1.88m, ahead of Sofie Dokter and Glenka Antonia. Sarah van Beilen finished sixth.

Last week Weerman let the National Championships for juniors pass by, but a week earlier she already showed top form by jumping almost a Dutch senior record. Then she was just a centimeter short and she got stuck at 1.92 m

In the athletics hall of Apeldoorn, Weerman needed 1.88m to win. Teammate Sofie Dokter came closest with 1.86m. Antonia got stuck at 1.81m. Weerman made three attempts to jump over 1.91 meters, but without success.

Sarah van Beilen from Emmen finished sixth in Apeldoorn with a height of 1.74 meters.
