“My new addition: Johnny”, Dekker writes on Twitter with two photos of the black horse. “He’s so sweet and incredibly beautiful, I’m so happy with it.” In May, Dekker had to say goodbye to her foal named Patton. The animal’s nervous system was so damaged that it could never walk normally again.

Dekker is known for having a great love for horses. For example, she has her own online program about horses titled PaardenraatTV. Two films have also been made in response to Dekker’s love for horses. The presenter came up with the film Whitestar (2019) after she got her ‘Talpaard’ George from John de Mol in exchange for presenting a few TV programs for Talpa. The film now has a sequel, called Silverstar.
In 2021 Dekker finished eleventh at the Dutch Dressage Championships, in which she participated together with her horse George.
