Britt Dekker is no longer welcome as a table guest with the men of Today Inside. Her performance in De Oranjewinter did not go well. “It doesn’t have to come anymore.”
The risk of degradation for guests of Today Inside is increasing, because if they are disappointing, they will be blatantly fired on national television the next day. It already happened to Rob Kemps – he doesn’t have to come anymore – and now it’s happening to Britt Dekker. She is also no longer welcome at the table at the VI trio.
“Britt didn’t talk either!”
Özcan Akyol sat at the table in De Oranjewinter last night. He agrees with the criticism of Rob. “I didn’t think it was so nice that you started reviewing Rob Kemps a day later. I didn’t like that very much. Can I say that? But I didn’t find him that strong at the table, no. He didn’t want to talk.”
Johan Derksen: “Then you better not come.”
Özcan: “No, but the next day – I have to say that too, because you didn’t say that – Britt didn’t want to talk either, so you had two people in a row who didn’t want to talk.”
‘Stay away’
John nods in agreement. He doesn’t feel like Britt anymore. “It should not come again. It should not come again.”
Özcan: “He shouldn’t come again?”
Wilfred: “Nobody is coming anymore.”
Studio guest Henny Huisman: “Rob Kemps has been busy for too short, so he doesn’t dare to do that yet. He is afraid for his own skin and that is logical of course. I don’t really understand why he was there.”
Insult guests
Wilfred: “Also because we invited him, that also plays a role.”
Özcan: “Yes, only to insult him.”
Johan: “Well, no, I don’t agree with you at all. You invite someone and they know where they’ll end up and if someone comes here and shuts up, then you can blame that guy because then he has to say beforehand, ‘Guys, this TV thing you’re making, there I’m not participating.’ That is allowed.”
“Both nothing!”
Johan thinks that guests should say so in advance if they do not dare to express an opinion. “But if he sits here, we also want him to participate. That goes for him and that goes for that girl too. It was both nothing.”
Is Rob angry again? No, says Wilfred. “Well, I called him on Friday. ‘If no one is available,’ he says, ‘you can always call me again.’ In that respect, it is absolutely fine.”
