Britt Dekker hits back at Marc-Marie Huijbregts, who recently said that the presenter is very unkind in real life. She now suggests that he is talentless and has not achieved much.
Tim Hofman was a guest in the program yesterday College Tour and was confronted by presenter Twan Huys with the criticism that he would suffer from a Jesus complex. Not only Marcel van Roosmalen has said that, but Marc-Marie Huijbregts is also of that opinion.
Tim doesn’t get it
The fragment in which Marc-Marie expressed that opinion was shown in College Tour. “What is going on with Tim Hofman a bit: he has a kind of Jesus complex, I have the idea. He would prefer to enter Utrecht somewhere on a donkey saying: hosanna, hosanna. That everyone hangs around it,” said the comedian.
Tim reacts resignedly to it. “People with an opinion who express their opinion all day long think that I should not express my opinion, because then I have a Jesus complex. (…) I think it’s more an indicator of a much bigger thing: being bad. You should not have a big mouth in the Netherlands. I don’t really understand the problem.”
Britt lashes out
Britt Dekker gave her opinion about it yesterday, just after the College Tour broadcast Media Inside† She has no problem with Marcel lashing out at Tim, but she can’t take it as well from Marc-Marie. She openly suggests that she finds the comedian talentless.
She says: “Marcel is allowed to do things, because Marcel is a really talented writer: NRC, columns. Then I understand that you give a little pat, but I think about Marc-Marie… Tim does achieve things. He has achieved things that a lot of people will never achieve and then I think… I just think I think: why do you have to…”
Ground in carpentry
Presenter Gijs Groenteman, the husband of Marc-Marie’s podcast buddy Aaf Brandt Corstius, responded: “Okay, so Marcel is allowed to criticize Tim Hofman and Marc-Marie Huijbregts is not allowed to criticize Tim Hofman?
Sidekick Marcel van Roosmalen: “I sometimes agree with the phrase that I can criticize Tim Hofman.”
Gijs: “And that you have achieved things. You just wanted to hammer Marc-Marie Huijbregts into the ground?”
Britt: “Well, not necessarily.”
Gijs: “But you didn’t want to let it go either?”
Britt: “Yeah, exactly.”
Cuts likes
Marcel: “I think that our criticism, and also that of Marc-Marie Huijbregts, is justified. It cuts wood. †
Gijs: “There’s that virtuous element around it all the time, which gives me the creeps.”
The reason Britt lashes out at Marc-Marie is obvious. He recently shouted that she would be very unkind in real life. In addition, the comedian also lashed out at Britt’s best TV friend: Wendy van Dijk.
