The woman was found alive and, according to witnesses, was ‘completely covered in blood’. Ambulance brothers tried to keep her alive, but without success. A few months earlier, a man is said to have been attacked by the herd, despite the many warning signs the farmer had put up in the field. The cows would become particularly aggressive from dogs.
Friends and family of the deceased woman are shocked by the incident. They describe her as an animal lover and a familiar face in the village. One told local media: “The thought of her being trampled by a cow is just horrific. She didn’t even eat them, she was a vegetarian.”
