British tourists also follow Charles’s coronation in Poperinge

In a room above the museum of the Talbot House, about 40 spectators sit at a long table to watch the Corronation or coronation of King Charles.

Talbot House

The Talbot House is a museum in Poperinge that depicts daily life behind the front during the First World War. Poperinge was the nerve center of the British army during the war. Ties between Talbot House and the Windsors date back to 1915. Lt. Gilbert Talbot was the bosom friend of the Prince of Wales. Padre Tubby became Chaplain to King George VI & the Queen Mother. Also today, Padre Canon Paul Wright is once again Chaplain to the King.

In Poperinge, the coronation started this morning at 10 am with a presentation of the historical links between Talbot House and the British Royal Family. The coronation, meanwhile, was broadcast live.
