British Telecom connects Ostend to England via fiber optic cable

Belgium will soon be connected to Great Britain via a fiber optic cable. Workmen were already preparing in Ostend today, tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. a ship from England will bring the cable ashore.

The client for the project is British Telecom, the main contractor is the American company Subsea.
