Katie Melua is expecting her first child. The British singer announced the news on Instagram on Thursday.
Melua, 37, posted a video in which she walks on stage with a baby belly for a performance in Switzerland. She also posted a group photo with her tour crew.
“This will be my first tour with a baby bump,” she wrote on Instagram. “I can’t believe I wrote that down.”
It is not known who will be the father of the child. Melua was previously married to motorcycle racer James Toseland. In 2020, their marriage ended after eight years.
Melua is known for the song Nine Million Bicycles from 2005.
