British police have arrested an additional man for shooting a 9-year-old girl at her home in the English city of Liverpool. The 33-year-old is suspected of murder and two murder attempts. Police had previously arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting. Police suspect the men were engaged in a gang war.
The incident happened almost a week ago. Two men were suddenly threatened in the street by a person with a weapon and ran away when shots were fired. However, Olivia Pratt-Korbel’s mother opened the door just then to see what was going on. One of the chasing guys – a 35-year-old man – was able to storm in in a blind panic.
As the mother tried to close the door, the gunman fired several shots. She was hit in the wrist. Olivia, standing behind her, was shot in the chest. The gunman followed his prey into the house and fired two more shots. The fleeing man, who has no connections with the family, was hit in the upper body.
The perpetrator, who was wearing a black balaclava and black gloves, then fled. The guy who was injured was able to stumble out and was picked up by a friend in a dark Audi. He eventually took him to the hospital, where he still lies. However, nobody cared about the innocent victims who had fallen in the house. The girl was still taken to the hospital, but all help turned out to be in vain.
