Brita cake and cheese pie, easy instructions

Cheese pie

To the bottom

125g of butter

3 dl wheat flour

and 3 tablespoons of cold water.

Filling

4 eggs

approx. 150g grated cheddar

2 dl cream cheese

2 dl cooking cream

1/4 teaspoon salt.

For decoration: For example, 100g of mini plum tomatoes, half a dl of leafy parsley or basil.

Manufacturing:

1. Mix the flour and cold water into the soft butter.

2. Put baking paper on the bottom of a springform pan, diameter 24cm. Pat the dough on the bottom of the pan and up the sides.

3. Pre-bake the base on the lower level of the oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.

4. Beat the eggs until the texture is broken in a bowl. Add grated cheese, cream cheese, cream and salt. Mix well.

5. Pour the filling into the pan.

6. Cook on the lower level of the oven at 200 degrees for approx. 35 min or until the bottom is cooked and the surface has acquired color.

7. Allow to cool.

8. Add pieces of mini plum tomatoes, parsley or figs, walnuts and maple syrup on top of the pie. Serve cold or lukewarm.

British cake

Base

150g of butter or baking margarine

1.5 dl of sugar

4 egg yolks

2 dl wheat flour

2 tsp baking powder

1.5 dl of milk.

4 egg whites and 2dl of sugar for the meringue.

Filling

4 dl whipping cream

2 tablespoons of sugar,

1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar and a liter of strawberries, blueberries or raspberries.

Manufacturing:

1. Whip the soft fat and sugar. Add the yolks one by one, beating well. Mix the wheat flour and baking powder together. Add the flour mixture and milk alternately to the dough. Spread the dough in a thin layer on the baking sheet on greased baking paper.

2. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat until the mixture is stiff and glossy. Spread the meringue mixture over the dough. Bake at 175 degrees for 20–25 min until the surface of the meringue is light brown.

3. Let the tart plate cool and cut it in half with a sharp knife. Remove the baking paper.

4. If using strawberries, cut off the stems and halve the berries. Whip the cream until foamy, season with sugar.

5. Lift the tart plate onto a serving plate. Bend and spread half of the paste on the plate. Spread half of the cream and half of the berries on top. Place the second tart sheet on top. Spread berries, fruits according to your taste on the surface.
