The match between Brighton and Manchester United started dramatically. Kaoru Mitoma ran through the drive and slammed the ball directly against the rusher David de Gea on.
De Gea fell to the grass but recovered after a few minutes of treatment, continued the game red-faced – and it was the hosts’ goal.
In the final moments, de Gea made two super saves: first he stopped by Alexis MacAllister shot, a little later Moises Caicedon.
Even those weren’t enough, because Luke Shaw got his hands on the centering ball. Andre Marriner glanced at the VAR screen and ordered the ball to the spot.
MacAllister fired a powerful shot into the top corner and sent the home fans into a frenzy in the ninth minute of extra time.
