It seems that Bridget Maasland has never been able to fully process what happened during and after her affair with André Hazes Jr. We were able to follow their love affair scene by scene and we also learned extensively about the very painful way in which she was dumped by him, thanks to the gossip media.

High horse

Bridget has been in a split since then: she reads RTL Boulevard juice from the teleprompter, but at the same time is disgusted by – as she sees it – lower gossip media. While of course she herself is part of it to a greater or lesser extent. “We will hear both sides!”, she then groans. But everyone knows that BLVD participates heavily in the clickbait culture.

Bridget’s association with juice enemies such as Heleen van Royen, Samantha Steenwijk and Rachel Hazes makes her a bit hypocritical, says Yvonne Coldeweijer. “Oh, that girl! Bridget is somewhere for a while high horse stepped out in the past few months. What is she doing?” she wonders The Juice Show.

Priest

Co-host Mark Koster maintains his position that Bridget has become a sour woman. “Well, I said it here last week: I think she should start drinking again. No, but really! She acts like some kind of high priest of morality.”

Yvonne: “She has always been described as a bit of an ice cream rabbit, which I don’t think she is at all.”

Mark: “I’m a big fan of hers. I always thought she was fantastic.”

Nice woman

Yvonne used to really like Bridget, before she became bitter. “When I wasn’t juicing yet, we used to meet behind the scenes. Then I thought: Jesus, what a nice woman that is.”

Mark: “She’s a really nice woman.”

Yvonne: “But what happened? She sat on that high horse, put her nose in the air, and suddenly felt something. Maybe because she can please Rachel or something, she still has a bestie, because I don’t know.”

Red rag

Rob Goossens asks himself in the BLVD Podcast wonders whether Bridget did the right thing by going to the presentation of Heleen van Royen’s anti-juice book. “Isn’t it a bit of a red rag to a bull that there were all kinds of figures like Rachel Hazes and Samantha Steenwijk walking around there?” he asks his colleague.

He continues: “It was kind of like sticking your tongue out at juice channels and saying: here we are, we are forming a front. Aren’t you afraid that the people who were there, including you, will be put in the spotlight by the juice channels in the near future? From: we’ll get you.”

Bridget: “Well, that would be very sickening. Even more sickly than described in the book.”
