Bridget Maasland strongly criticizes John de Mol. She finds it unbelievable that despite everything he chooses to just keep Peter Gillis on the TV. “Isn’t that a bit ridiculous?”
John de Mol allows Peter Gillis to continue with his program on SBS 6, even though the Public Prosecution Service has decided to prosecute him for the alleged abuse of his girlfriend Nicol Kremers. Bridget Maasland, who used to have a relationship with John’s son Johnny de Mol, finds that really unbelievable.
‘Ridiculous!’
Bridget actually thinks that John de Mol’s SBS 6 should have pulled the plug on Family Gillis: Mass is Kassa. “That he just still gets this platform! Don’t you find that a bit ridiculous too?” she asks in RTL Boulevard.
Colleague Rob Goossens then: “Yes, I think: there is one person who is very happy with it and that is Johnny de Mol, who of course said himself: ‘I am giving up my program’, and because Peter has a gigantic sign in front of his head and stays put, it makes Johnny more sympathetic.”
Viewer punishes
A curious theory, because despite the accusations of aggravated assault and attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend Shima Kaes, Johnny will appear again on SBS 6 within next month. First with Restaurant Misverstand and a month later, according to the plan, again as the presenter of HLF8.
The viewer himself now settles with all those misbehaving SBS 6 stars. Peter Gillis set his lowest viewing figures in a long time on Monday. Rob: “Some viewers have already lost weight and if they do nothing with this, but continue to play a nice play, then there will also be less of these viewing figures, I expect.”
skinny
Rob thinks that SBS 6 is disappointed with the lower score for Peter Gillis, especially because they go through fire for him. “Then when you consider that they’ve gotten quite a bit of attention – advertising, you might say – because of the alleged assault, it’s a bit meager.”
Will the assault case also be discussed in the series? “That was not entirely clear until now, but Talpa has now answered that for the first time and the answer is no. It’s not going to come back in the series, so we really have to get it from Frank Lammers. That pissed Peter off, as he often does as a voice-over.”
Bridget critical
Peter being ‘pissed off’ by the voice-over of the program because he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend? And that is sufficient? Bridget is critical. “But then we still make a bit of a joke out of it that way. It is of course a very serious matter.”
Rob: “I agree with you. I have to say: I also felt that yesterday as a viewer. Then they are forced to have a good time together, but then you think: the camera will go off in a moment and what will they do then? Is Peter going to bite her in the back again? That doesn’t make it very enjoyable to watch.”
