Bridges 2024, some mini escapes are possible

Vtowards the end of the year, although many start doing it much earlier, looking in advance on the calendar when the red days are located has become a habit, especially to plan an extra holiday. Unfortunately, it must be said that the 2024, is not exactly generous with bridges and in fact three holidays do not allow you to enjoy long weekends. But all is not lost.

Thinking about your next holidays: travel trends for 2024

What are the holidays in 2024

Starting from national holidays, to which we will then need to add the feast of the Patron Saint which varies from city to city but is another red day on the calendar, the holidays for next year will be:

  • Easter 2024: Sunday 31 March
  • Easter Monday 2024: Monday 1 April
  • Liberation: Thursday 25 April 2024
  • Labor Day 2024: Wednesday 1st May
  • Republic Day: Sunday 2 June 2024
  • Mid-August 2024: Thursday (August 15)
  • All Saints’ Day 2024: Friday 1 November

Long weekends 2024 few, but with a few days off here and there…

So as not to immediately start the year in a bad mood, the calendar offers a little joy right away: the January 1stin fact, it falls on a Monday, thus allowing the weekend to be extended and the week to be shortened for those who have to return to work. Too bad only for the second holiday of the year, Epiphany, or January 6th, which will instead be on Saturday. To get to the first long bridge it will be necessary to wait until April 25th. In fact, Liberation Day falls on a Thursday, and by taking just one day off, Friday 26th, it will be possible to have a 4-day holiday. Labor Day, the May 1stFurthermore, it falls on a Wednesday and being mid-week allows those who can to choose whether to take the previous or following two days off. In both cases you will be able to have 5 days to dedicate to rest. The luckiest ones will also be able to decide to combine the two options and treat themselves to a 10-day holiday.

From June 2nd, hello mini holidays

Republic Day, June 2nd, falls on a Sunday and therefore nothing. For those who are not yet on holiday in August, the mid-summer festival being on Thursday will give the possibility of organizing a mini escape, but still taking a day off on Friday 16th.

First real long weekend: All Saints’ Day

With the arrival of autumn, also comes the festival of All Saints and also the first real long weekend: November 1st is in fact a Friday and those who don’t work at the weekend will be able to take 3 days of vacation without the need to take holidays. L’December 8, with the feast of the Immaculate Conception, is a bad thing because it falls on a Sunday. But we end well with Christmas and the end of the year: in fact, Christmas and Boxing Day they will be Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th December respectively, therefore by adding just one day of holiday, Friday 27th, you will be able to take 5 days of holiday. If you also take Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th off, the consecutive days would instead be 9. If you also manage to take 30th and 31st December, the situation becomes even more interesting: with five days off, in fact, you will be able to “hook” Christmas to New Year 2025, which falls on a Wednesday. The fight will be with colleagues.
