The Stuttgart fashion retailer Breuninger is pushing ahead with its expansion in e-commerce and is opening an online shop for the Czech market.
The new online shop is “structured in the same way as the existing shops in other European markets,” said Breuninger on Thursday. Shipping from the goods service center in Sachsenheim takes three to five days to the Czech Republic.
“As a leading fashion and lifestyle omnichannel retailer, we are also expanding our online offering in our neighboring country, the Czech Republic. The opening of our own online shop in our neighboring country, the Czech Republic, is an important milestone in our internationalization strategy,” said Breuninger CEO Holger Blecker. “We are thus serving the growing demand of the numerous Czech customers.”
The company only announced the start of e-commerce in the BeNeLux countries, Spain and Italy in August. Before that, the online shop opened in Poland in October last year. The company operates other online shops on the domestic market in Germany and in the neighboring countries of Austria and Switzerland. Breuninger has had its own online shop since 2008.
