Brescia Photo Festival: photographic events and exhibitions until 27 August

Lhe culture as a cure (of the soul), the city of nature, that of hidden treasures are the leitmotif of the exhibitions of Brescia Photo Festival.

Starting with the project Light of the Mountain (until 25 June, but more will come between now and the summer), 120 shots where black and white prevails, signed by four photographers with different approaches.

There are the photos of Vittorio Sella that celebrate the majesty of the Alps and the Dolomites but also of Tibet, Karakorum, Caucasus; those of the Peruvian Martín Chambi (printed from the original glass plates) with the first views of Machu Pichu but also the touching portraits of the Andean populations; those of German Axel Hütte, great traveller and master in reporting “the detail”; those of the US Ansel Adams, dedicated to untouched nature and the breathtaking landscapes of the New Frontier.

Not to be missed at the Mo.Ca-Center of new cultures, Fragile nature. When words aren’t enoughcollective that testifies to floods, earthquakes, storm surges in Italy (until 18 June) e Gianni Berengo Gardin. Things never seen. Unpublished photographs (until May 21).
