The record label where rapper Ismo from Breda released music has ties with the son of top criminal Ridouan Taghi. The Public Prosecution Service suspects the company of laundering drug money. RTL Nieuws and Follow The Money reported this on Saturday after their own research.
It concerns the record label El Chapo Productions, named after a Mexican drug lord. It was founded in Amsterdam in 2016. It will release music from rappers Boef, Lijpe and the Breda rapper Ismo until 2020, according to reports. RTL News and Follow the Money.
Underworld
For example, in 2017 the three rappers jointly created the song ‘Who talks, goes’, a motto in the underworld that traitors are liquidated. “Rappers Boef, Lijpe and Ismo are not suspected of money laundering. It has not been proven whether they were aware that El Chapo Productions appears to be connected to underworld practices,” writes RTL Nieuws.
“A connection between the Taghi family and El Chapo Productions comes to light thanks to the encrypted messaging service Ennetcom, the code of which the police managed to crack in 2017. Suddenly, detectives can read 3.6 million messages that come directly from the criminal environment. According to the police, Ridouan Taghi’s family, who is hiding in Dubai, also uses Ennetcom.”
Omroep Brabant did not receive contact with Rapper Ismo and the record label on Saturday morning. Attempts by RTL News to contact Lijpe and Ismo also failed. Boef did not want to respond substantively.
Jew hatred
It is not the first time that Ismail Houllich, better known as Ismo, has been negatively reported in the news. In 2017, he was sentenced to a fine of 1,500 euros at the court in Den Bosch for a controversial rap, in which he stated that he ‘hates fucking Jews much more than Nazis’ and ‘doesn’t shake hands with fags’.
According to the court, the sentences in the song are offensive to people of the Jewish race. Ismo has actually ‘abused his artistic freedom to express an insult’.
