A passer-by found the man on Friday 20 May shortly after 7:30 a.m. and alerted the police. The resident of Breda lay unconscious next to a car. Emergency services took him to a hospital. After the discovery, research was done with a drone, a helicopter and sniffer dogs.
Police do not yet know what exactly happened. Nor how long the man had been lying there. The police are investigating this with a large-scale investigation team. Last Wednesday, the mobile unit searched the area on the Margriet, where the man and his car were found, for traces or other clues. An autopsy will be performed on the man’s body next weekend.
The police are looking for people who know what happened to the victim, in particular if there are people who saw the striking black car with a red/pink roof in the area last week.
