What a shock this diagnosis must have been for the moderator. Sonya Kraus (48) reports in an interview with the magazine “BUNTE” about her breast cancer.
“If I hadn’t gone for a routine check-up, I might not be alive,” Sonya says. In September 2021, the mother of two (two sons) was diagnosed with a small but highly aggressive breast tumor.
“In November I had both breasts removed. I wanted the most radical procedure and the best possible chance for me not to get sick again,” says Sonya in an interview with the magazine.
She then had to undergo chemotherapy and both breasts were rebuilt in an operation.
Sonya Kraus: “When I came out of the clinic, I said to my sons: ‘Mom has very nice new breasts and the lump is gone.'” It helps her to talk openly about it and her heart’s concern as those affected is to enlighten and women to encourage precaution.
“In this pandemic, many women unfortunately dare to go to the doctor much too late. But these 20 minutes can save your life,” says Sonya im “COLORFUL”-Interview.
