Soccer record champion FC Bayern has made it clear several times publicly that Robert Lewandowski must fulfill his contract, which runs until 2023, and will therefore not be handed over in the summer. The offers submitted by FC Barcelona so far have not even been answered, it is now said.
FC Bayern clearly has the upper hand in poker with Robert Lewandowski. Apparently, the Munich bosses are making this more than clear to FC Barcelona: According to “Bild”, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic has so far ignored every offer from the Spaniards received by email.
Three offers are said to have arrived in Munich’s digital mailbox in the past few weeks. At the end of May, Barca offered a transfer fee of 32 million euros, on June 23 it was said to have been 35 million euros. About a week later, Barcelona increased it to 40 million plus five million euros as bonus payments. The emails all went directly to “Brazzo”, who, however, showed no reaction.
It fits: Barcelona’s club president Joan Laporta recently confirmed publicly that Bayern had made an offer for Lewandowski and is now waiting for an answer.
FC Bayern uses stalling tactics for a higher transfer fee
“picture“According to Munich’s non-reaction is currently part of the transfer tactics. They want to show strength and ultimately force a higher transfer fee. That means: The German series champion only wants to move away from his change ban for the world footballer if Barcelona should “50 million euros plus X”, the report said.
While Robert Lewandowski would like to complete the transfer as quickly as possible, his current employer is playing on a temporary basis – after all, the club has to find an adequate replacement. Meanwhile, the top scorer has to report back from vacation on July 12 and complete the obligatory performance tests.
Hope for Lewy? First positive talks in the background
The Polish national team captain should then start team training. Lewandowski wants to avoid a return to Säbener Straße after his explosive change request.
According to the report, there is a glimmer of hope for the center forward. FC Bayern has not yet officially responded to Barcelona’s offers, but initial positive talks are said to have been held in the background.
According to “Sport Bild”, Lewandowski’s advisor recently offered to act as an intermediary so that the deal could be completed more quickly.
