Brazilian President Lula Talks To Zelensky About International Mediation To End War | War Ukraine and Russia

Since taking office on New Year’s Day, Lula, who previously ruled from 2003 to 2010, has attempted to re-establish Brazil’s role on the international stage after his right-wing predecessor Jair Bolsonaro largely isolated the country.

Recently, Lula proposed a “mediation initiative” around Brazil and China to end the war in Ukraine. But a condition for Ukraine is the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from the country. Zelensky underlined this once again. “We stressed the importance of upholding the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.”
