In 2018 and 2019, the man was convicted of crimes such as money laundering, human trafficking and drug-related matters. He committed these crimes between 2012 and 2015.
The man was arrested in Fortaleza at the request of the so-called Dutch Fugitive Active Search Team (FASTNL) of the national police. The Dutch authorities have asked Brazil to extradite the man, the police said.
