There was a confrontation between hooligans from Energie Cottbus and FSV Zwickau in Zwickau on Sunday. Before the game in the Northeast Regional League between the two teams, people hit each other.
The fight took place directly in front of the stadium. However, after a few seconds the police intervened and the argument ended after only a short time.
Cottbus wins the game
According to the Saxony police, the people involved were no longer allowed into the stadium. “To ensure a safe game, we are now carrying out identity checks. These people will not be allowed into the stadium and will have to leave the city area, some will be taken into custody during the game,” the officials said on the X platform.
Energie Cottbus won the game 2-0. The Brandenburgers’ hope of promotion to the 3rd league grew as the competition from Greifswald and Berlin stumbled.
