Tenth newcomer
Eintracht Braunschweig has found the desired reinforcement in the position of right-back. The second division presented Nathan de Medina from Arminia Bielefeld on Thursday. The 24-year-old signed a contract until the end of the season.
“We have decided to sign another defensive player in Nathan, so that we can react not only tactically to the high number of goals conceded, but also personally. Acting from a stable defense is an important step on the way to staying up. Nathan can play in three positions and is therefore very versatile. We are convinced that he will strengthen our defense with his domestic and international top-flight experience. In addition, he already fulfills the requirement to be in team training, so that he is immediately ready for action,” said BTSV Managing Director Peter Vollmann about the tenth newcomer this summer.
De Medina made the move from his native Belgium to Germany in 2020 and made 38 appearances (one assist) for Bielefeld. His contract with Arminia previously ran until 2023. “I’m looking forward to my new job in Braunschweig and I’ll give everything every minute of the game to ensure that Eintracht achieves its goals. I hope that we will have a good season together and that we will go the best possible way as a team,” said the full-back.
