Brandenburg’s Corona-sick CDU parliamentary group leader Jan Redmann (42) gave a video press conference coughing from the quarantine – and called for relaxation! The SPD and the Greens slowed him down.
“The 2G-plus rule for restaurants must fall quickly and not just on March 20,” demanded the visibly battered Redmann. “Despite high incidences, the utilization of the clinics is falling. We should loosen extensively next week. People know exactly how to protect themselves.” Apparently Redmann doesn’t.
According to Redmann, the 2G plus rule in pubs and restaurants must be canceled immediately. “There must be no discrimination against the unvaccinated! The vaccine does not protect against infection. I’m boosted but infected.”
The SPD sees it differently. “We should relax gradually,” says parliamentary group leader Daniel Keller (35), “2G should not be eliminated in the first step.”
But at sporting events, Keller can “imagine the same number of spectators as in Berlin”. There, 10,000 guests are allowed in stadiums, in Brandenburg only 1000.
The Greens also reject quick easing. “We remain cautious in the team,” said parliamentary group leader Petra Budke (62). Brandenburg wants to adopt new rules next Tuesday.
