Do you have trees, high shrubs and hedges in your garden and you really don’t know what to do with those long, pruned branches? You can cut them small and offer them as GFT or bring them to the recycling center. But what is really handy: the branch route!

Municipal employees drive through all neighborhoods twice a year for two days to pick up pruned branches. You just have to deliver them neatly and they will take it with them. The next branch route is in April, they will come again in the autumn.
When will the branch route arrive in my neighbourhood?
On Thursday 7 and Friday 8 April, branch routes will be driven divided over the neighborhoods in the city:
Thursday 7 April in the neighbourhoods:
- lake view
- Buytenwegh
- Leyens
- Rokkeveen
- Palenstein
Friday 8 April in the neighborhoods:
- Seghwaert
- Noordhove
- three man polder
- City center
- Village
- Oosterheem
make an appointment
Just like for the collection of bulky waste, you must also make a (digital appointment) for the collection of bulky garden waste. You can do this via the website or by calling 14079 (option 2, customer service of the waste collection department).

Not too long!
The branches should not be longer than 1.5 meters and should be tied together. The bundle of branches should not weigh more than 30 kilos. So step on the scales before you give the branches ;-). The garden waste is made into compost.
