There is a lot of track and road work going on this weekend. The A2 is full of diversions, there are no trains running between Tilburg and Breda this weekend and it is also happening between Dordrecht and Breda. Although the winner is the route between Eindhoven and Venlo: there will not be a train in sight there for the next two weeks.
Dordrecht-Breda
We start from left to right. First of all, there is the route between Dordrecht and Breda, where an adjusted timetable applies due to construction work. There is a train, but less often. This lasts until the night from Sunday to Monday, until two o’clock.
Breda-Tilburg
Then a step further to the middle: the route between Breda and Tilburg. You can expect a delay of half an hour there, because there are no trains running there until the night from Sunday to Monday. Due to construction work you have to take the express bus there.
Eindhoven-Venlo
The highlight of the work, on the other hand, is the route between Eindhoven and Venlo. Work on the track will take place there for two weeks, so no trains will run until the night of March 18. There are express buses between Eindhoven and the Limburg city, with stop buses that also pass through Helmond and Deurne.
On the other hand, anyone who wanted to take the car as an alternative will not have an easy time this weekend: due to work on the A2, there are quite a few diversions and delays on the road. You can read more about that here.
