The Tilburger is already the third Brabander this year who has been arrested outside Brabant in a lab.
The police raided a warehouse on the Boslaan in Emmen on Wednesday. Agents found the drug lab in a business building. In addition to the Tilburger, a man (57) from Emmen was taken.
On photos from a local news agency can be seen that stainless steel parts of the lab are brought out by specialists, such as a tube and a large reaction kettle with meters. It is most likely an amphetamine lab where speed was made.
In recent years there have been several examples of Brabant drug makers working a little further away from home, such as in Drenthe and also in Overijssel and Friesland. According to experts, the fact that lab technicians in Brabant have professional knowledge and the right contacts also plays a role.

The age of the Tilburg suspect, 58 years, may indicate that he is an experienced lab technician. At the beginning of this year, two people in their fifties were also arrested in a drug lab in Drenth. It then concerned residents of Oud Gastel (55) and Oudenbosch (57). They would have been active in a drug lab in Holsloot, which is located below Emmen.
