Despite the early start of the dream, SSV Jahn Regensburg loses 1-2 at SSV Ulm. The Upper Palatinate misses good chances, collect a red card and have been waiting for an away win for a year and a half.
In the duel of the two second division relegations, SSV Ulm prevailed 2-1 (0: 1) against Jahn Regensburg after behind. The guests took the lead early through Benedikt Bauer, but after the break, Ulm turned the game through goal by Elias Löder and André Becker. Regensburg missed several chances and also had to accept a red card against Benedikt Saller shortly before the end. This means that the Jahn has remained without an away win for one and a half years.
Formerly cheers after Bauer’s hit
The two relegated team from the 2nd division were able to lay the Returning Mission again pretty quickly. With four points from six games, Jahn Regensburg started the season even worse than SSV Ulm. Ulm had released his coach Robert Lechleiter in the week before the game.
After a minute, Elias Löder could have made the Ulm lead, but headed freely past the goal. Instead, Benedikt Bauer brought Jahn to the front in the fourth minute. Noel Eichinger had placed a flank to the center, which a Ulmer could still clarify, but instead the defender caught the ball on the edge of the box and the castle worth seeing.
Afterwards Ulm took the booklet of action in his hand, but initially did not make any great chances. Shortly before the break, Dustin Forkel even had the opportunity to increase for Regensburg, but Christian Ortag parried in the Spatzen goal.
Cold shower after the break
The second half started like the first: one team missed a big chance, the other converted them. But in this case it was Jahn who awarded, and the Ulmer, who met. Five minutes after the restart, the offside-suspect Paul-Philipp Besong got the ball and presented Elias Löder’s equalization.
After a good counter opportunity for the intensely playing Regensburg, Ulm turned the game after a nice combination by André Becker. The Regensburgers then struggled to compensate. Ulm got swimming again with good offensive campaigns, but brought the lead over time. After an open sole, Benedikt Saller picked up a red card after an open sole against the ankle from Luis Görlich. The last away success of the Upper Palatinate was almost 18 months ago.
