The Berlin Volleys suffered significant defeats in two test matches against the Polish first division club Cuprum Lubin.

On Saturday, the German volleyball champion lost to the guests in the Horst-Korber-Zentrum in Charlottenburg with 0:3 (20:25, 20:25, 20:25). The day before, the Berliners had lost 0:4 (23:25, 16:25, 22:25, 15:25) against their opponents at the same venue.

However, the BR Volleys were missing numerous national players who are still involved in the Olympic qualification. New signing Daniel Malescha emerged as the best attacker for the loser, scoring a total of 33 points in both games. French international Timothee Carle scored 22 points.
