Boy falls into concrete sewer and can’t get out

Those were exciting moments for a boy from Raamsdonksveer Monday evening. He had climbed on the edge of a sewer and fell into it. And he couldn’t climb out on his own.

The boy, a teenager, had climbed the concrete rim of the tank about eight feet high. Then he fell in.

Because it was believed that he had been injured in his fall, the emergency services were summoned en masse. Fire brigade, police, ambulance and also an air ambulance were called. Fortunately, the damage turned out to be not too bad: a ladder from the fire brigade was enough to free the boy from his predicament.

The boy received a warning from the police and his mother was also not happy about the action, our 112 correspondent saw.
