A 21-year-old boy was severely beaten by an aggressive man on Wednesday, November 8. The victim was sitting quietly outside on a bench in front of a pub in the Groest entertainment area in Hilversum, when two passers-by approached him. The atmosphere quickly changed and ended in a serious assault.
The mood was fine at first. Two men approach the sitting boy, one of them even offers the boy a cigarette. Not much later, things go wrong and the boy has to endure a lot.
Significant increase in violence
The victim is hit hard on the head several times by one of the men. “Just like that, out of nowhere,” the police call it. Fortunately, the staff at the local cafe realizes what is going on and comes to help. The group is thus driven apart.
NH wrote earlier about a significant increase in the number of incidents in this entertainment area. The figures requested showed that there had already been a considerable increase in public violence, threats and alcohol and drug nuisance in August.

The police first want to show a photo of the suspect. If he does not report within a week or the police still do not know his identity, a moving image of this aggressive person will be shown in the next broadcast of Bureau NH.
