Disaster struck this week when a woman accidentally left her son in a hot car in Houston, Texas, for hours on end. Sheriff Ed Gonzales said the mother was preparing a birthday party for her eight-year-old daughter and did not notice that her son was still in the car. All help for the child came too late.
