Boy (14) arrested for assault in which runner broke wrist

A 14-year-old boy from Udenhout was arrested on Thursday for assaulting a runner. Together with others, he allegedly assaulted a 33-year-old woman on Tuesday evening. She broke her wrist.

The suspect was questioned and then released. This is normal practice with minors. Police have now identified several suspects. A spokesperson is calling on them to come forward. “That’s better than when a police car suddenly shows up at home and they have to go to the station,” he says.

Plaster with army print
The runner was trimming on the Kuilpad in Udenhout on Tuesday evening. A group of boys then ran with her for a while. According to the police, she was hit by someone on a bicycle at one point. She was pushed and ended up in a ditch. She broke her wrist in the fall.

The age of the boys is estimated to be 15 to 18 years old. An arm of one of them was in plaster, with an army print. Police announced the assault on Wednesday and are asking witnesses to come forward.
