Boy (13) arrested after shocking images of a fight

The fight happened last Saturday, March 12 at the Youth Center in Waregem. Three young brawlers attacked a teenager particularly hard. The victim was punched and kicked, including to the head. The shocking images were shared on social media.

“Images very coarse”

“The images are particularly coarse,” says prosecutor Tom Janssens of the public prosecutor’s office in Kortrijk. “In the meantime, we have been able to identify the perpetrators. Aanstoker is a 13-year-old young man from Wielsbeke† He also shows up in two other fighting movies from a while ago, including in Ingelmunster† The young offender must appear before the juvenile court in Kortrijk during the day. He will decide what to do with him.”

Two more perpetrators arrested

In addition to the young man from Wielsbeke, two young men aged 13 and 15 were also arrested from East Flanders zulte and The Pinte† They must appear before the juvenile court in Ghent.

“The victim is a 17-year-old man,” said spokesman Tom Janssens of the prosecutor’s office. “We received the facts through his mother, but another concerned mother had also seen the images circulating on social media. She has nothing to do with the case, but has reported the gross facts anyway.”
